Manav Kalyan Briddhashram is one of the leading organizations working for elderly people in Gulmi, Nepal. Manav Kalyan Briddhashram (Human Welfare Aged Shelter) is a non-profit organization comprised of local personalities working in the field of social works, business, and employees of different agencies. It was initiated by late Mr. Tek Bahadur Kunwar and registered with Government of Nepal, District Administrative Office, Tamghas, Gulmi in 2058 Bikram Sambat (2001). He worked in this organization for 7 years.

As we are aware with the fact that people do different types of activities in their life for income generation, they invest their important time of their life for their own family, society and the country. But when they become old, they face different types of problems: may be of their livelihood, shelter, health, loneliness so on. When the aged persons of better economic status become physically and mentally weak, they are also found in desperate condition if they fell in the trap of malicious persons. The organization has taken initiation of care taking elderly persons locally.
