The objective of the organization is to assist the elderly persons who are in critical helpless and poverty conditions or neglected by their family, providing shelter to aged persons in religious sites of the district and assist other elderly persons providing favorable environment to exchange their experiences, grievances and find out way of better living in their own home with family and transfer their skills and knowledge to the community.
The organization serves in two ways:
(a) providing residential shelter in Ridi, and
(b) occasional services through day care approach gathering for elderly people in different places of the district.

It has a shelter for elderly persons in Ridi, a holy place Ruru in the junction of Kaligandaki and Ridi river. The shelter is for helpless, poor senior citizens. The old building is in use for elderly people’s residence with the capacity of 15 persons. It has pray hall on the top of the building with the capacity of 200 persons. For day care center, a new building is almost completed. However, there is need of final finishing and furniture. The organization has a plan to make a hall on the top of this building.
The day care approach is introduced to have conducive environment to the elderly people to stay in their own home community through providing gatherings in day time at such centers. The organization has programme of day care center in district headquarters Tamghas too.
The elderly residence and other activities of Ridi are conducted through a Ridi Sub Committee under the Management Committee of the organization.
